Welcome to MAPLIS

 German version

What's MAPLIS?

MAPLIS® is a user-friendly and easy-to-learn programming language for designing and formally defining multidimensional simulation models. It is also a tool for performing simulations on the basis of these models in order to create forecasts, for example.

Due to the readability of the scripts, the content and function of models can also be easily communicated to users not accustomed to IT.

How to forecast?

Model and calculator are formally separated. The method underlying the calculator is based on the idea of directly using the diversity of events in their multidimensionality. Basis is the original (e.g. statistical) data instead of information reduced by statistical methods. These scalars (factors) are mostly updated by means of linear extrapolation:

Data analysis and reporting of results is deliberately left to other software tools on the market.

What hardware does MAPLIS need?

Today's high-performance PCs have sufficient computing capacity and the exchange of data is largely standardized. The user interface in a Windows- and a browser-based version is currently being developed.

Versions for different mainframes still exist, but are no longer maintained for cost reasons.
